The 1.6 DCi engine ( if you can find one ) are in another league compared to the old 1.5 DCi offering ( although still a good engine) ridiculously frugal yet powerful, and only £35.00 a year to tax on the 130bhp 1.6 six speed ...... beloved by European Taxi drivers such is their ability to do huge mileages but still remain reliable, mine is a 2015, has done just over a 100,000 miles and has only ever failed its MOT on wipers and bulbs ! ......still runs quietly and without fault.

They don't sell well in (mainland) Europe. Very expensive and poor battery management, resulting in a short range. Massive depreciation.

If you're not doing any "proper" off-roading, surely an estate is more practical (for most people)? - Typically a significantly larger boot. - Closer to the ground: easier to attach luggage to rootlf + better fuel economy (more aerodynamic). - Lower centre of gravity: more "reassuring" to drive (e.g. usually less body lean). With that said, friends of mine who are parents with young children say they _feel_ that their kids are safer in an SUV. I could talk untilnI'm blue in the face about estate cars with 5-star NCAP ratings, but that perception of extra safety turns out to be more important than I thought. So, at least for parents, that will be an angle that dealerships push to sell you a vehicle type that's usually more expensive. Other than that, I can only see a real advanatage for SUVs when going off-road due to the additional clearance.

I’ve owned the very same one for a couple of years and share your POV. It’s a very rewarding car to drive in any condition and easy to handle. Pottering along is no problem and when you need (or wish) to overtake a lorry, caravans or simply the car ahead of you, you dispose of all the necessary power to do so. The car is then blisteringly fast and fun. A great car to be enjoyed on twisties and mountain roads too. The PDK box is excellent and with a few useful options such as the surround camera and nose lift, you’re good to go without a second thought. Where I live the rear steering wheels are stock equipment. It helps in city trafic and narrow streets and adds noticeable agility when driving the car in a spirited way. All told, a good choice, even though I am pretty sure any 911 of today (992.1 generation) is a worthy pick. The rest is a matter of budget and personal preferences and usage. 😎

…just test drove the C5X and I was blown away by it’s driving comfort related to suspension as well as absence of noise… considering the price its especially amazing 🤩

If someone could explain why you when buing the top trim "ultimate" with standard leather seats get a gear-lever and steeringwheel in plastic? Volvo is disguising it as environmental reasons. Even the insulation under the bonnet is gone. The glovebox is like made in Hong-Kong now. Imagine all the savings they have done that you don´t see. Wish I didn´t buy it..........and the roadnoise is worse than in my earlier Momentum 21. Done with Volvo after this one, Will get a BMW 530E.........

He needs to improve his camera angles. He was sitting in the rearmost seats and all we could see was his head. He did spot the weakness of the car and sounded quite honest and that's a plus point. No matter from what angle I viewed the rear of the car, it would never grow on me. As for the fascia, it looks mean.

Didnt mention anything about reliability and/or ownership info. Nothing different from a brand new review 7-8 years ago.

I’ve Discovery 5 since 2017. It is a genuine British car: super confortable, very good details, tought enough to climb snowy Alps, fantastic traction like defender ,extra space for everything , 7 seats for large family, genuine understatement compared with the too luxurious Range, good old English cars defects and imperfections (not an soulless german vehicle), air suspensions, supercharged 340 hp powertrain

The entry range doesn't have heated seats / steering wheel or keyless entry / start .

Lack of boot space is a killer, how can Tesla get massive space in their M3 and MY cars but BMW reduced theirs…they should have done a full electric version and dropped the engine in front.

I can personally vouche for the fact the 330e f20 will do more than what websites claim which is 130. I've done 130 in battery save mode several times and still had tons of floor space leftover. Speedometer says 160 and i'm almost certain it'll do that.

The green looks so good, they should have kept the option of the yellow calipers
